Ms. Lilia Romero is Director/TOSA II of the Âé¶¹ÃÛÌÒAV Pasadena Cohort. As an educator for over 30 years, she has served students in PreK-12 as a bilingual teacher and instructional coach.

Having immigrated from Mexico at age 12, she honors the work of teachers and family support with her academic success. She has experience in leading teacher/parent workshops, collaborating in the development of CTC’s standards for bilingual teacher-preparation programs, data analysis, and Curriculum Review through the lens of equity. As an Alder clinical faculty partner director, she is passionate about guiding future teachers to develop rigorous, effective, and culturally and linguistically responsive instructional practices that will positively impact all learners.

Lilia has National Board Teacher Certification as Early Childhood Generalist, a BA in Child Development, an MA in Elementary Education with a Multicultural Emphasis from CSU Dominguez Hills, and an MA in Educational Administration from CSU, Los Angeles. She holds BCLAD authorization and is recipient of the Pasadena Rotary Teacher of Excellence Award. Lilia lives with her husband and their two daughters, who are now young adults. She enjoys hiking, reading, movies, and traveling, but what she loves most is spending time with her familia, friends, and her seventeen-year-old dog, Lulu.
